Terian Williams a priority of the staff, both 2022 commits

Terian Williams attended Stanford's first ever virtual junior day on Saturday and is a top priority for Stanford, as well as a for a growing list of competitors.

Williams has already participated in multiple virtual visits with Stanford and the Cardinal appear to be lock to be in his top 12 that he will release March 1. He connects with defensive backs coach Duane Akina a couple times a week and also talks with Lance Anderson once a week.

This "visit" was his first chance to talk with current players and professors rather than watch videos of them talking about certain frequently asked questions. Williams is a 4.0 student, his mom is a high school educator, and five of his cousins are engineers, so the academic expectations are high in his household.

He told Cardinal Sports Report he plans to join the pipeline of engineering talent coming out of the family and will focus on either civil or mechanical at his future school. Williams said both his parents enjoyed talking with professors Saturday about the opportunities he would have in the classroom.

Williams also spoke with junior captain Thomas Booker, or as Williams called him, "the special teams block master".

Stanford's 2022 commits, Sam Roush and Arlen Harris, are in contact with Williams and are trying to recruit him to join the class. Michigan is Williams' most recent offer and he did a virtual visit with Mississippi State Monday.

He previously told Cardinal Sports Report that LSU, Kansas State, West Virginia, Iowa State, Harvard, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Maryland are also recruiting him.
