Stanford lands Rivals 250 lineman

Stanford landed its highest-ranked commitment in the 2015 class to date when four-star Georgia guard Nick Wilson announced for the Cardinal a few minutes ago.

Wilson made his decision public at 12 p.m. Pacific Time on Twitter.
After countless hours of prayer, thought, and discussion, I am committed to Stanford University! πŸŒ²πŸ‘“ Go Cardinal and go U.S.A!πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€” Nick Wilson (@MiltonOL77) July 4, 2014
Stanford extended Wilson a scholarship offer in February and immediately moved in to the four-star lineman's top-three. A Junior Day visit to The Farm in early March vaulted the Cardinal to the top of Wilson's leaderboard, where they stayed for the duration of his recruitment.
While many schools were recruiting him to play center, Stanford offered and recruited Wilson as a guard. He joins North Carolina center Brian Chaffin in Stanford's 2015 offensive line recruiting class; Stanford will most likely sign a tackle this year as well.
With Wilson in the fold, Stanford's recruiting pipeline to the state of Georgia continues to grow stronger. He is the second Peach State resident to verbally commit to the Cardinal this year (joining Arrington Farrar), and with several of the state's other top players interested in the Cardinal, he may not be the last.
Wilson committed to Stanford over finalists Duke and North Carolina, as well as offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Ole Miss, Tennessee and UCF.
Stay tuned to Cardinal Sports Report for more on Wilson's decision in the coming days.
