New DB offer Terian Williams is excited to learn about Stanford

Terian Williams' Twitter bio tells you where you can find the 2022 student-athlete: "Making Plays or Studying". For Stanford coaches that feels just like home and they offered the athlete from Georgia Saturday and they are recruiting him to play defensive back.

"I was very excited when I received the offer!", he said in a direct message to Cardinal Sports Report. "Not everyone gets the opportunity to attend that school."

Williams has been in contact with defensive backs coach Duane Akina and defensive coordinator Lance Anderson since Sept. 1 — when coaches could begin contacting juniors directly.

"Both are very knowledgeable coach who have a love for the players. They do a great job on developing players."

A virtual visit is in the planning stages and he'll be able to compare that experience to what Texas Tech, Kansas State, West Virginia and Harvard showed him on similar "visits".

The Harvard visit was "very informative! It was good to see how an Ivy League works from the inside and to see it is also a good balance of football and academics."

In addition to those schools and Stanford, Williams says that a number of schools are actively recruiting him: Notre Dame, LSU, Washington, Mississippi State, Princeton, Clemson, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Yale and Florida. (Clemson, Notre Dame, Washington, Wisconsin and Nebraska have not offered yet, according to his Rivals profile.)

Williams reports a 4.0 GPA and before his junior year already has a 24 ACT score and 1300 on the SAT. His mom, Tammy, is a high school educator and his father, Terian, is a police officer.

"My mom and dad are my role models and super heroes," Williams said. "They have instilled in us the importance of education, character and being a good person. Academics and discipline are top priorities for my sisters and me.
