Card on board for 2014

Stanford's 2014 football recruiting class is back on the board. Several months after parting ways with the class's first commit, safety/linebacker Devin Williams, the Cardinal picked up a verbal commitment from Rivals 250 safety Brandon Simmons, per his father, Kashaan Simmons.
"Yes. He is a Cardinal!" Simmons told Cardinal Sports Report. "(He's) with Coach Shaw now."

Simmons is currently on an unofficial visit to The Farm.
The nation's No. 200 player has had high interest in Stanford for months. The Cardinal offered Simmons in October (on his birthday), and have been in a strong position ever since.
Cardinal Sports Report first spoke with Simmons in early February. He gushed about the Cardinal during the interview.
"I love the way they play the game," Simmons said. It's just fundamental and it's just true and rich. I love the way they play the game. Their defense, Coach Mason does a great job. I watched the Oregon game, they completely shut Oregon down. I want to be a part of something like that. A lot of people don't give respect to Stanford because they think, 'Oh it's Stanford, it's smart guys who can't play no football,' but they get after it and they've shown it. I want to be a part of that uprising of Stanford football."
Now, he will be a part of it.
Cardinal Sports Report will have more coverage of Simmons' decision once he returns home from his trip to California.
