Stanford hosted Kamari Ramsey for its first every virtual junior day Feb. 13 and a week later he included Stanford in his top five with USC, Ohio State, UCLA and ASU.

The junior day was his second virtual visit since August when defensive backs coach Duane Akina and area recruiter Ron Gould began recruiting him. Ramsey took part in a virtual visit hosted by Akina that month and it was a valuable introduction to what Stanford has to offer.

The junior day went more in depth and he described it as a "great experience".

Recruits seem to be more aware and focused on learning about networking and business opportunities they could be exposed to while attending a certain university. Ramsey told Cardinal Sports Report that the current players and professors he spoke with during the junior day talked about the advantage Stanford has to connect people.

Back on Aug. 31 Ramsey said that he talks with USC and ASU the most and that he really wants to find a "home-like" fit in the football program and school.

He explained to TrojanSports why USC made the cut.

“It’s home. Right by my house, my backyard. Their academics stands out. They’re trying to take back the west. It’s a movement going on, especially with getting Donte [Williams] that was a great pickup. Getting [safeties coach Craig] Naivar, they’re building something special over there,” Ramsey said.

He told BuckeyeGrove that Ohio State's consistency as a winning programmer and producer of NFL talent earned the program a spot in an otherwise all Pac-12 list.

“They win games. They put people in the league,” Ramsey said about Ohio State. “They produce great players that produce in the league. It’s just what they bring to the table. It’s so great. It’s hard to pass up on a school like that.”

Ramsey is not in a hurry to make a decision and he told Cardinal Sports Report that he taking two AP courses his senior year to meet Stanford football's application requirements. (Stanford University announced that it will not require test scores for this graduating class' applications.)

The competition level is daunting for the Cardinal but they appear be legitimate contender for an instant-impact safety.
