Park City offensive guard Coco Lukrich has an impressive Hudl highlight video that shows him bulldozing defensive linemen. Stanford offered Lukrich Sept. 17 and think he would be a perfect fit at fullback.
Lukrich has offers from a number of schools — Washington State and Boston College were reportedly out in front before Stanford offered — and most coaching staffs see him at guard. Stanford running back coach Ron Gould and offensive quality control analyst Timot Lamarre have been Lukrich's main contacts for the past six months.
"I’m super excited to play fullback. It’ll allow me to focus more on my speed, agility and strength without putting on a bunch of sloppy weight, which is super exciting," Lukrich said in a direct message to Cardinal Sports Report.
So far, the only discussion about playing any other position has been about occasionally lining up as an extra lineman or at tight end in a "jumbo" formation.
Stanford "hosted" Lukrich on a virtual visit Saturday and he has been sent an application by the university.
"I was on the Zoom (visit) with both of my parents, and they were pretty much speechless the whole time. All of their questions were answered without them even having to ask. We were all very impressed.
The academic support portion, as well as the offensive scheme, and how I would fit in in the offense, was awesome."
