Johns Creek safety Terian Williams took part in a two-hour Zoom meeting with Stanford staff Saturday morning and it answered many of his questions, and those of his parents.

Game-day visits have gone the way of the dodo bird during the pandemic, but Stanford has adapted best it can with "virtual tours" and one advantage of the setup is that the Cardinal staff can "host" recruits from wherever they are, like Corvallis. Williams joined the meeting with head coach David Shaw, defensive coordinator Lance Anderson, defensive backs coach Duane Akina, recruiting director Mike Eubanks and associate director of recruiting operations Alexa Malone.

Williams listed the topics discussed in a message to Cardinal Sports Report: the challenges the team has faced as "Road Dogs", academic requirements, nutrition and weight program, what’s expected from incoming freshmen, a presentation from two engineering professors and there was a presentation about the campus and athletic facilities.

His parents and sister also watched the Zoom meeting and Williams said his parents enjoyed it. His mom, Tammy, is a high school educator and she wanted to check if Terian was on the right track with his course schedule — he is, Terian said he already takes AP and honored courses — and his dad wanted to hear about the plan for his son's football development.

Williams added that he speaks with Akina "weekly" and that he plans to do another virtual visit after the season.
