Oser closes out Card class - 10:00 A.M.

Thomas Oser OL, 6-4/270, North Hollywood, CA

Comment: Like several other Stanford signees, Oser made his mark on the Cardinal at Stanford's camp this summer. He out-performed several other top offensive line recruits to earn a Stanford offer over the summer. Oser considered making an early commitment to the Cardinal, but ultimately decided to wait until January after his official visit to The Farm. Oser is capable of playing multiple positions along the defensive line, but will likely begin his Stanford career at the center position.

Sleeper OL signs - 9:41 A.M.

Dave Bright OL, 6-5/290, Santa Ana, CA

Comment: Though he played for one of the nation's best and most established programs, Bright managed to fly somewhat under the recruiting radar. A dominant senior year prompted Stanford to offer in late November, and Bright accepted the Cardinal scholarship a few weeks later, in early December. Bright has somewhat of an edge over some of his fellow offensive line recruits in that he already has excellent size, and won't need to add as much weight once he arrives at Stanford as some of his peers. Bright is expected to be an offensive guard at Stanford.

Family connection - 8:22 A.M.

Francis Owusu WR, 6-3/195, Westlake Village, CA

Comment: One of the gems of Stanford's 2013 class, Owusu is a big, physical, speedy receiver who should make an early impact at Stanford. The younger brother of former Cardinal star Chris Owusu, Francis might not have his brother's top-end speed, but is a bigger target, and, at least on film, has better hands. Owusu signed with Stanford over offers from numerous top schools, including UCLA and Florida. There's a lot of excitement about his addition to the Stanford program.

Versatile linebacker inks - 8:18 A.M.

Kevin Palma LB, 6-1/225, Tulare, CA

Comment: Palma is another Stanford signee who emerged on the Cardinal radar after a standout performance at Stanford's summer camp. Once Palma picked up a Cardinal offer in early October, it didn't take him long to decide Palo Alto was the best fit for him. Palma is an intriguing athlete who can play both linebacker and a Ryan Hewitt-type role on offense, though he is expected to at least begin his Stanford career on defense. Palma has stated a preference to play outside linebacker in college, but he may be better suited for ILB with the Cardinal.

Austin Hooper TE, 6-4/230, Concord, CA

Comment: Landing Hooper is a huge coup for the Cardinal. While many schools recruited the De la Salle star to play defensive end, Stanford likes him on offense, as a tight end. Hooper excelled at the position at Stanford's camp over summer, and again proved his offensive skills during his senior year of high school. A physical blocker with strong receiver skills to boot, Hooper has a different skill set than many of the other tight ends on Stanford's roster, and could make an early impact on The Farm.

7:20 a.m.: Cunningham commits to Vanderbilt

Onetime Stanford receiver prospect Jordan Cunningham just announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on ESPNU. Cunningham took two visits to Stanford, and camped with the Cardinal, but wasn't a candidate to join Stanford's class today.

7:10 a.m. Josh Dobbs to Tennessee

Multiple reports have now surfaced that Josh Dobbs will sign with Tennessee. We reported last night that he wouldn't be committing to Stanford. Stanford was in an excellent position to land Dobbs (albeit as a baseball player first and foremost) and it's currently unclear what prompted his decision.

Dobbs is expected to make his college commitment official sometime today.

Eric Cotton TE, 6-6/230, Nampa, ID

Comment: Cotton emerged on Stanford's radar in a major way at the Cardinal's summer camp. An athletic pass catcher with a huge frame, Cotton doesn't have the recruiting hype off Stanford's other tight end signees, but could turn out to be the best of the bunch. He will have to improve his blocking to make his mark at Stanford, however. Adjusting to a higher level of competition will also be critical, but Cotton should be a very nice addition to the Cardinal class.

Dynamic Utah LB signs - 6:10 A.M.

Sean Barton LB, 6-3/220, Woods Cross, UT

Comment: Barton is ranked by Rivals.com as a safety, but is projected to play middle linebacker at Stanford. Of course, plenty could change in the two-plus years before Barton enrolls at Stanford - he will take a two-year LDS church mission prior to beginning his college career. Eventually, Stanford will get one of the most athletic linebackers in the country. Barton will run track this year and will have a realistic chance to register a 100 meter time below 11 seconds, the type of speed usually reserved for the skill positions.

Greg Taboada TE, 6-5/235, Atlanta, GA

Comment: Like several recruits in Stanford's 2013 class, Taboada is capable of playing multiple positions. He projects well at tight end or 3-4 outside linebacker. But he'll likely begin his Stanford career on offense, where his ideal frame and speed should lend itself to success at tight end. Taboada signed with Stanford over offers from Alabama and Florida State, among others.

Versatile Louisiana athlete signs - 5:14 A.M.

Taijuan Thomas WR/DB, 5-9/178, Monroe, La

Comment: One of the least-heralded recruits in Stanford's 2013 recruiting class, Thomas is also one of the most versatile. A dynamic athlete capable of playing both offense and defense, Thomas could be a slot receiver or cornerback for the Cardinal. He signed with Stanford over offers from Northwestern and Illinois, among others.

Ryan Burns QB, 6-5/218, Ashburn, VA

Comment: One of the most polarizing recruits in the nation from a ranking perspective (Scout.com ranks Burns as the nation's No. 36 QB while the other recruiting services slot him considerably higher), Burns' physical talents are undeniable. With elite size and above average athleticism and arm strength, Burns has all the makings of a future NFL quarterback.

Mike Tyler OLB, 6-5/225 Brecksville, OH

Comment: A one-time Vanderbilt commit, Tyler jumped on an opportunity to attend Stanford when the Cardinal offered in November. Tyler first emerged on Stanford's radar after impressing at one of the program's summer camps; a dominant senior season further elevated his stock in school's eyes. Tyler will play the outside linebacker position on The Farm, and is expected to grow into an effective pass rusher on the college level.
