Stanford lands R250 OL

Stanford added a key commitment on Tuesday afternoon at a position of significant need.
Rivals250 offensive lineman Clark Yarbrough announced his commitment to the Cardinal over Twitter. He picked Stanford over numerous other offers, including ones from Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Duke, Auburn and many others.

Yarbrough narrowed his extensive list of college options to Florida, Virginia, Clemson, Duke and and Stanford before deciding on the Cardinal.
The four-star prospect emerged on Stanford's radar at the program's camp last summer. He picked up an offer from the Cardinal while on campus for Stanford's Junior Day in April, and has had Stanford high on his list ever since.
Yarbrough's commitment to Stanford is important on multiple levels.
In addition to being an excellent, highly coveted prospect, he projects as a tackle at the college level. Stanford has only signed three true tackles in the last three recruiting cycles (Casey Tucker, Reilly Gibbons, Jack Dreyer), and with Gibbons leaving the program prior to the start of last season, the tackle position is a major priority for Stanford in the 2016 class.
And in Yarbrough, Stanford and offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren identified and landed a commitment from one of the nation's best.
Yarbrough is Stanford's seventh public verbal commitment of the 2016 class, and the fifth four-star recruit to choose the Cardinal.
