Every year Stanford has to search far and wide throughout the country for recruits they want to offer. In the case of Braden Miller he was pretty easy to find.

Offensive line coach Kevin Carberry recruited Braden's older brother, Barrett, to Stanford in the 2019 class and the younger Miller was offered Sept. 10. Carberry first reached out to Braden on Sept. 1 and then offered him in the second call.

"I’m pretty familiar with the team" Miller said in a direct message to Cardinal Sports Report. "I’ve met many of the offensive linemen, and I’ve been out to Stanford for a game (the first one).

Braden announced the offer with a tweet that included a photo of Stanford's offensive line that showed Barrett (known as "Bear") along with two other freshmen in the starting group. Barrett had to step up like many young players last year to help the team when one starter after another suffered an injury.

"Bear was very excited for me. He called me after and we talked about the conversation that Coach Carberry and I had. He likes the atmosphere there. He likes his teammates and he told me that Carberry is a great coach."

Miller has been offered by Michigan (which recruited Reece Atteberry from the same school in 2019), Utah, Colorado, Kansas State and others. Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, Oklahoma State and others have been in contact since Sept. 1.
