Love picks Stanford

Four-star running back Bryce Love announced his commitment to Stanford moments ago in a ceremony at his high school. Love chose the Cardinal over offers from many other Power Five conference programs, including Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Stanford extended Love a scholarship offer after his sophomore year of high school. The speedster visited The Farm for the first time last spring for one of the Cardinal's Junior Days, and has returned to campus twice since - first to watch Stanford play Utah this fall, and then earlier this month for the program's big official visit weekend.

Love is best known for his speed - he clocked an electronic 4.4 40-yard dash time at The Opening this summer - and should be a versatile addition to Stanford's offense. He's capable of contributing on special teams, as a traditional running back, and as a dynamic receiver out of the backfield.
Stay tuned to Cardinal Sports Report for more on Love's decision later today.
