Cardinal offer 2022 Minnesota offensive lineman

The Cardinal offered Hill Murray School's Lucas Heyer Sunday after connecting with the four star tackle about a week ago.

"It is absolutely surreal getting an offer from them," he said in a direct message to Cardinal Sports Report. "My family is fired up about it because of the mix of academics and football."

Heyer is eager to learn more about the university and football program. He is talking with Stanford about setting up a Zoom virtual visit. His first impression of the offensive line coach is that Kevin Carberry is a "classy, well-spoken man".

Stanford is Heyer's 10th reported offer, according to his Rivals profile, and he says that he's in contact with Minnesota, Tennessee and Nebraska the most, but that there are other schools he talks with "very frequently".

There is a local source of information about the Stanford student-athlete experience who gave Heyer a shoutout for the offer. Willie Howard is the head coach at Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope. He wore No. 77 during his All-American career at Stanford, the same number Heyer wears now.
