Bisharat picks Stanford

Stanford's fast start to the 2016 recruiting cycle continued on Saturday when four-star athlete Beau Bisharat announced his commitment to the Cardinal.

Bisharat picked Stanford over many other offers including ones from Oregon (his father's alma mater), Washington, Cal and Michigan State.

Listed as an athlete in the Rivals.com rankings, Bisharat is expected to play running back on The Farm. That's where approximately 75 percent of the schools involved in his recruitment liked him.

Stanford only started heavily recruiting Bisharat about a month ago, but the Cardinal struck all the right chords in its pursuit. Bisharat visited for the program's Junior Day a few weeks back, picked up an offer last week, and didn't have to mull over his options for too long before settling on Stanford.

Bisharat is the eighth 2016 prospect to commit to Stanford, and the sixth Rivals250 recruit to choose the Cardinal. Stay tuned to Cardinal Sports Report for more on Bisharat's decision in the upcoming days.
