Sooners Have Eye on In-State Prize

With National Signing Day a little over a week away each football program around the country now has a good idea of what type of scholarship numbers they have still available to them. With a few recent departures from Oklahoma's class of 2009 the Sooners have had some scholarships become available in the final week of the recruiting season.

However, with just a week to recruit the Sooners will have to enter the race with players they've had some degree of communication with.

One such player has emerged in Sand Springs (Okla.) Charles Page offensive lineman Michael Bowie. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Bowie says that he recently received some surprising news from two nationally elite programs.
