Horn talks visit

When Ty Horn committed to TCU, he gave the Frogs an instant leader for the future and a player that is determined to lead by example. Just back from his official visit this weekend at TCU, Horn took a little time to talk with PurpleMenace.Com and give his thoughts on the experience.

"It was awesome" said Horn. "It was so much fun. I got to see the Maud Squad, Isadore, Maponga, Jurell, all of those guys, it was great."

Horn was clearly pleased with what he saw during his visit to Ft. Worth.

"Everything was amazing" he said. "It just reaffirmed everything that I thought before. I know I made the right choice and I feel very lucky to have this opportunity. I ate way too much food but it was so good(laughing). I got to hang out with my host, Jeff Olson, he was a great guy."

Horn said that he and the other players all weighed in and he was proud to report that he is physically ready to go.

"I weighed in at 300 pounds" said the big lineman. "I know I have the tools to play right away but like the coaches said, I have to learn a new system and do the mental things right."

Horn mentioned that he was genuinely excited about the idea of playing together with so many talented and athletic prospects.

"It feels awesome knowing that I'm coming in with such a strong class" said Horn. "After what TCU accomplished this year, we can take that and continue to build on it. All the guys coming in with me seem to have the same mindset that we are going to come in and make an impact right away. It looks really good for the future of TCU football."
