DE Wujciak commits to BC

Boston College picked up their sixth verbal commitment from the Class of 2011 today and it is arguably one of the biggest additions to date. Connor Wujciak spoke to EagleAction.com about his decision not long after he made it.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end from West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep became very familiar with Boston College and the other schools recruiting him in the months leading up to today and now there is no question in his mind that he wants to be an Eagle.

"Yeah I committed," Wujciak confirmed on Friday. "I thought it was just the perfect fit for me. I love everything about it. I really like the coaches, the school and the football program. They have a great tradition.

"I was there just a couple of days ago. I think it was last Monday. I was excited. The coaches seemed pretty pumped too. I don't know if they're as pumped as me, though," he laughed.

Wucjiak had narrowed his list of schools towards five just before making his decision, and while he still thinks highly of all of those he didn't choose, he doesn't plan on looking back.

"In no order it was Boston College, Maryland, Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame," he said. "I will not be visiting any other schools unless it's to visit Maryland to see my brother."

Wujciak is ranked the No. 22 strongside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com, as well as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of New Jersey.

As a junior for Seton Hall Prep last fall he recorded 64 tackles and 11 sacks while recovering three fumbles.
