Shuler Proves His Interest in Oklahoma
High school football players love to talk about one college program or another being their dream school but when the rubber meets the road they generally show themselves to be in search of yet another offer. However in the case of Long Branch, N.J. athlete Miles Shuler the proverbial rubber and road between himself and Oklahoma would never have met if he hadn't taken the chance to prove just how dedicated he was to hearing from the Sooners.
The 5-foot-11, 173-pound prospect who holds offers from the likes of Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Stanford among many others but explained why he has always been a fan of the Sooners and explained just how he found his way to the Sooner coaching staff.
"Growing up I liked them a lot, I watched them play when Adrian Peterson was there. Anyway, a few weeks ago my dad came up to me and said what do you think about Oklahoma, and I told him 'shoot that's my favorite team to watch'. He said well we are going to try and get in contact," Shuler said. "We went through a couple of their football players and they told the coaches and the coaches were interested.
"And that's how it all came about, I'm really excited about Oklahoma."
