Good review from Thourogood
Even though he has family at Virginia Tech and an ex-teammate at Tennessee, quarterback Lafonta Thourogood decided this spring to get out and see some other schools. He stopped at West Virginia and came away with glowing remarks.
"It was a good visit in my eyes. I liked West Virginia as a college. I went up for a game last year. This time, I got a lot better look. I got to talk to the coaches. I really had a good chat about what they saw for me in their offense," Thourogood said.
He and a Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes teammate saw the Mountaineers' first formal scrimmage of the season at Mountaineer Field, Saturday.
Virginia Tech seems to be the front runner for Thourogood because of how the Hokies plan to use him.
