Not that you intended any disrespect, but his name is spelled Chester McGlockton.
And he was a tremendous football player, a very good friend of former Stanford (and current 49er's) Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.
According to your own Head Coach David Shaw, Chester was an integral part of the staff, who was going to be a good head coach someday soon.
He was just 42.
I'm a Notre Dame fan, but I'm also a Raider's fan, and former Irish star and Raider WR Tim Brown (the 1987 Heisman Trophy winner) was also VERY close to Chester McGlockton, and is reportedly devastated by his sudden passing.
I'm surprised there are NOT more Stanford fans paying tribute here today. You guys just lost a tremendous man and a solid coach who was doing great things with your young defensive line.
No disrespect, but much more than NM should be posted by your fan base. Atleast get his spelling of this name correct. This was a great man, a great player, a great line coach, but according to those who knew him best, a BETTER father and husband. Its just sad, and he deserves all the best tributes that you and your fan base can give him.
RIP Chester and prayers to his family and friends. God Bless them.
