2014 Introduction: Offense

CardinalSportsReport.com With three consecutive BCS bowl appearances under its belt and several top recruiting classes to boot, Stanford is fairly well stocked at a number of positions entering the 2014 recruiting cycle. On the other hand, the Cardinal signed only 12 prospects in 2013, and should have plenty of room to sign a highly ranked class.
Here's an overview of Stanford's needs and some of its top recruits on offense.
Quarterback: Stanford isn't exactly desperate to sign a top-flight signal caller in 2014. The Cardinal inked Rivals 250 prospect Ryan Burns in 2013, and Pac-12 title game MVP Kevin Hogan does have three more years of eligibility. But Stanford has its sights set on one of the nation's top 2014 signal callers who happens to play in the school's backyard. Stanford's presumable top target is one of the best in the nation: Paly star Keller Chryst. Chryst wowed at Stanford's summer camp last year, and had a top-notch junior year. The pecking order beyond Chryst isn't as clear, though Stanford has been mentioned with quarterbacks like Brad Kaaya, Kyle Allen, David Cornwell, Chase Litton.
