Dorrell considering Stanford
Even though he's the son a former UCLA head football coach, 2013 recruit Chandler Dorrell has always admired Stanford. Dorrell, whose father Karl was the Bruin coach from 2003-2007, spent much of his childhood living in Southern California, but managed to develop an appreciation for Stanford all the same.
"I always grew up loving Stanford," Dorrell said. "When my dad was (at UCLA) Stanford wasn't the best. They had some rough seasons, but I just always loved the school. I visited up there a couple of times when I was younger and just loved the campus and the environment and everything."
Now, Dorrell could have the opportunity to spend the next four to five years of his life at Stanford as a walk-on defensive back to the football team. Dorrell took an official visit to Stanford last weekend to learn more about one of his top college choices.
