Defensive end likes Vol experience
Defensive line is an obvious need for Tennessee in the 2011 class, and to that end the Vols' staff was able to draw numerous defensive line prospects to campus last week for their three-day camp. One of those lineman that came away impressed with his visit was Alpharetta, Ga. defensive end Barron Dixon.
"I enjoyed it a lot, I learned a lot of new things and I got a little bit of time to sit down, meet and talk to the coaches. I actually got to sit down and talk to coach (Derek) Dooley. Overall, it was a good experience," Dixon said.
The 6-foot-4, 255 pound end enjoyed the teaching he received from defensive line coach Chuck Smith and said part of that enjoyment was because he's coached by another former Atlanta Falcon himself.
